THK LBS Series High Torque Type Ball Spline
The THK LBS Series is the most compact model in THK’s high torque ball spline lineup, with a straight cylindrical spline nut. A key driven into the nut body secures it and transmits torque, and the nut’s outer surface gets an anti-carbonation treatment for durability. Like other high torque ball splines, a single spline nut provides its own preload, removing angular backlash and improving rigidity without needing to twist two nuts together, which keeps the overall design compact.
It’s available in shaft diameters from 15mm to 100mm, with a basic dynamic load rating from 4.4 kN to 126 kN and a basic static load rating from 8.4 kN to 237 kN. This makes it well suited to robot columns and arms, transfer machines, and other equipment needing both torque transmission and straight-line motion from a single shaft.
