THK SLF Series High-Torque Caged Ball Spline

The THK SLF Series High-Torque Caged Ball Spline combines THK’s caged-ball technology with a flanged spline nut for high-torque linear motion applications. The ball cage keeps the balls evenly spaced during operation, helping reduce ball-to-ball contact, noise and torque fluctuation while supporting long-term, low-maintenance operation.

The flanged spline nut allows the unit to be bolted directly to the housing, simplifying installation compared with a keyed cylindrical spline nut. This makes the SLF Series suitable for applications requiring reliable torque transmission and linear motion in industrial machinery.

Available with spline shaft diameters from 25 to 100 mm, the series offers basic dynamic load ratings from 18.2 to 188.2 kN and basic static load ratings from 22.5 to 190.7 kN. Basic torque ratings reach up to 10,211.6 N·m, with static permissible moments up to 3,155 N·m for a single spline nut.
