THK SLS Series High Torque Caged Ball Spline
The THK SLS Series applies THK’s caged ball technology to the ball spline, keeping the balls evenly spaced as they circulate for a faster, more consistent response. This design stops the balls from colliding and rubbing against each other, which cuts down on noise and dust generation, while better grease retention allows long-term operation with little maintenance. A high-torque structure gives the nut strong torsional rigidity, and rounding out the spline shaft shape improves the shaft’s own rigidity too.
The spline nut on the SLS Series has a straight cylindrical shape, and a key can be used to secure it to the housing or transmit torque. It’s available in shaft diameters from 25mm to 100mm, with a basic dynamic load rating from 18.2 kN to 188.2 kN and a basic static load rating from 22.5 kN to 190.7 kN.
