THK LBST Series Heavy-Load Ball Spline
The THK LBST Series Heavy-Load Ball Spline is designed for applications requiring high torque, high load capacity and strong resistance to moment or overhang loads. Its longer spline nut provides an increased contact length while maintaining the same basic nut diameter as the corresponding LBS design. This extended nut structure helps distribute loads over a larger contact area, making the LBST suitable for demanding industrial machinery where space is limited but substantial torque or moment loads are present.
Available with spline shaft diameters from 20 to 150 mm, the series offers basic dynamic load ratings from 9.4 to 196 kN and basic static load ratings from 20.1 to 405 kN, depending on the model. Basic torque ratings reach up to 13,900 N·m, with static permissible moments up to 8,060 N·m for a single spline nut. Selected models are available with high-temperature configurations for operation up to 100°C, while felt seal options are available for certain models for additional contamination protection.
