THK LBS Series High-Torque Ball Spline

The THK LBS Series High-Torque Ball Spline is a compact cylindrical ball spline designed for linear motion and high torque transmission. Its straight spline nut uses a keyway for secure mounting and torque transmission, providing a compact solution for applications where both linear movement and rotational torque are required. The LBS Series uses a multi-row ball arrangement to provide high torque capacity, radial load capacity and resistance to moment loads. Its compact cylindrical construction makes it suitable for applications such as robot columns and arms, transfer machines and other industrial equipment requiring combined linear and rotational motion.

Available with spline shaft diameters from 15 to 100 mm, the series provides basic dynamic load ratings from 4.4 to 126 kN and basic static load ratings from 8.4 to 237 kN. Basic torque ratings reach up to 5,190 N·m, with static permissible moments up to 3,460 N·m for a single spline nut. Selected LBS models are available with high-temperature configurations for operation up to 100°C, while felt seal options are available for LBS20 to LBS100 for additional contamination protection.
