Yamaha YK-TW Orbit Type SCARA Robots

The Yamaha YK-TW is an orbit-type SCARA robot designed for high-speed movement in compact automation equipment. Its ceiling-mount design and wide arm rotation range allow the robot to reach points within a full Ø1,000 mm work envelope, helping reduce equipment footprint.

The YK-TW Series includes the YK350TW and YK500TW models. Both models provide a maximum payload of 5 kg. The YK350TW reaches speeds of up to 5.6 m/s, while the YK500TW reaches up to 6.8 m/s. Standard cycle times are 0.32 seconds and 0.29 seconds respectively.

The YK-TW provides high positioning accuracy, with repeatability of up to ±0.01 mm on the XY axes. Its compact design has an overall height of only 392 mm, while the minimum installation width is 492 mm. A dedicated mounting bracket is also available to simplify installation.
