Yamaha YK-XEC Series Cost-Performance Clean SCARA Robots

The Yamaha YK-XEC Series is a range of cost-performance 4-axis SCARA robots designed for automated production in clean environments. The series combines high-speed operation, reliable performance and ISO Class 4 cleanliness.

The YK-XEC Series includes the YK400XEC-4, YK510XEC-10, YK610XEC-10 and YK710XEC-10, with arm lengths from 400 mm to 710 mm and maximum payloads from 4 kg to 10 kg. Depending on the model, X-axis speeds reach up to 9.5 m/s, while Z-axis speeds reach up to 2 m/s. Standard cycle times range from 0.42 to 0.49 seconds.

The robots provide ±0.01 mm repeatability on the X, Y and Z axes and ±0.01° on the R axis. They use the RCX340 controller and support programming, I/O point tracing, remote commands and RS-232C communication. Suction air is used to maintain ISO Class 4 cleanliness, with intake air requirements of 55 to 60 Nℓ/min depending on the model.
