Yamaha Flip-X B Type Belt Drive Robot

The Yamaha FLIP-X B Type is a high-speed single-axis robot driven by a timing belt mechanism, designed for long-stroke, high-speed transfer applications. Compared to ball screw types, the belt drive system enables faster travel speeds and extended stroke lengths, making it well suited for transport, pick and place, and material handling systems.

The belt drive mechanism also reduces noise and mechanical wear at high speeds compared to ball screw alternatives, while flexible motor installation configurations and compact integration make the B Type a practical choice for transfer applications where speed and travel distance are prioritised over the highest positioning accuracy.
