THK SPH Series Super-Low Waving Caged Ball LM Guide
The THK SPH Series is a caged ball LM Guide built with eight rows of raceways and small-diameter balls. This increases the number of load-bearing balls inside the LM block, giving the SPH Series the lowest waving performance among all of THK’s LM Guide products, down to a nanometer level. Even with this eight-row structure, the SPH Series still keeps dimensions in line with global ISO standards (ISO 12090-1:2011 Rolling Bearings). This makes it easier to fit into designs that need ISO-compliant sizing without sacrificing precision.
Each row of balls sits at a 45° contact angle, giving the SPH Series a four-way equal load structure. This keeps load ratings even across radial, reverse-radial, and lateral directions, so it can be mounted in any orientation. Because the ball cages remove friction between the balls and hold grease better, the SPH Series also runs with long-term, maintenance-free reliability.
There are 6 model variants, covering standard, long block, and narrow width options, with bolts mounted from above or from both above and below. Sizes range from 25 to 45, with basic dynamic load ratings from 16.9 kN to 54.7 kN and basic static load ratings from 35.3 kN to 116 kN, depending on the model.
