THK ST Series LM Stroke
The THK ST Series LM Stroke is a compact linear motion unit with a precision-ground cylindrical nut, ball cage and balls. Its zigzag ball arrangement distributes the load evenly, while the lightweight, rigid cage supports smooth, high-speed motion with a friction coefficient of just 0.0006 to 0.0012.
The ball cage can travel up to twice its own travel range, allowing long strokes in a compact package. The ST-B version uses more balls for approximately twice the rated load of the standard ST, while sealed ST-UU and ST-UUB versions are available. Available shaft diameters range from 6 to 100 mm for ST and 8 to 100 mm for ST-B. The catalogue also specifies standard maximum rotational speed limits of 5,000 min⁻¹, with DN values of 600,000 for oil lubrication and 300,000 for grease lubrication.
