THK ST Series LM Stroke

The THK ST Series LM Stroke has a ball cage and balls built into a precision-ground cylindrical nut, with balls arranged in a zigzag pattern to evenly distribute load. The drilled, light-alloy ball cage is highly rigid and capable of high-speed motion, with a thrust ring and snap ring on both sides of the nut to prevent cage overshoot. Because the ball cage can travel up to twice its own range, the model supports long strokes. Point-contact balls minimize rolling loss for a friction coefficient of just 0.0006 to 0.0012. Basic dynamic load rating spans 0.98 to 22 kN (ST) up to 43.9 kN in the ST-B variant, with shaft diameters from 6 to 100 mm; sealed ST-UU and ST-UUB variants are also available. Used in press die setting, printing machine ink rollers, punching press chucks, and electric discharge machine work heads.
