THK SHS-N Series Hollow-Rail Caged Ball LM Guide

The THK SHS-N Series is a caged ball LM Guide with a hollow LM rail, making it around 40% lighter than the standard SHS LM rail. This lighter design gives more flexibility for machine builds, especially in setups mounted vertically or on a wall, where it helps improve high-speed operation and faster takt times. Because the rail is lightweight, the SHS-N Series also works well in mechanisms where the rail itself moves along a fixed LM block, or where it’s used as the upper shaft of a device that needs to run at high speed.

There are 6 model variants, covering flanged and non-flanged types, standard and long block options, and bolts mounted from above or from both above and below. Sizes range from 15 to 25, with basic dynamic load ratings from 14.2 kN to 36.8 kN, depending on the model.
