THK NSR-TBC Series Full-Ball LM Guide (Self-Aligning)

The THK NSR-TBC Series is the only LM Guide in THK’s lineup built with a two-piece casing instead of a single-piece block. Its rigid cast iron casing holds a cylindrical spline nut that’s been partially cut at a 120° angle, which lets the whole unit self-align against the fitting surface. This gives it a strong tolerance for rough installation, since the casing absorbs mounting errors between two rails rather than requiring precise alignment upfront.

It has four rows of balls, arranged two per shoulder of the LM rail, so it can take loads from the upward, downward, and lateral directions. Because of its self-aligning design, though, it can’t take a rotational moment load in a single-rail setup. It carries a basic dynamic load rating from 9.41 kN to 90.8 kN and a basic static load rating from 18.6 kN to 152 kN, and it’s available in sizes 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, and 70.
