THK AHR Series High-Acceleration Low-Resistance Miniature Full-Ball LM Guide
The THK AHR Series is a full-ball LM Guide built for high acceleration performance, designed to help boost production capacity in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. A newly developed circulation component allows for high speed, high acceleration operation, while remaining more resilient and durable under those demanding conditions.
Each row of balls sits at a 45° contact angle, giving the AHR Series a four-way equal load structure. This keeps load ratings even across radial, reverse-radial, and lateral directions, so the guide can be used in any orientation. Low sliding resistance is achieved through THK’s core circular arc groove technology, using an ideal four circular arc groove and two-point contact structure. This helps improve servo control accuracy.
The AHR Series also shares interchangeable mounting dimensions with existing Miniature LM Guide units that use Gothic-arch grooves, so it can be used as a drop-in replacement in many setups. There are 3 model variants: AHR-S (short block), AHR-M (standard block), and AHR-N (long block), all with bolts mounted from above. Sizes range from 9 to 15. Basic dynamic load ratings run from 1 kN to 5.84 kN, and basic static load ratings run from 1.54 kN to 11.24 kN, depending on the model.
