THK KS and BS Die-Setting Ball Cage LM Stroke
The LM Stroke is a finite-stroke linear guide that enables rotational motion, reciprocating motion, or a combination of both using a rolling mechanism. With an extremely low coefficient of friction, it delivers a compact, high-precision guide mechanism at low cost, making it suitable for a wide range of precision motion applications.
The KS and BS Models are die-setting ball cage types designed for high durability and long service life in finite-stroke applications. They incorporate a large number of high-precision steel balls compliant with JIS B 1501 (sphericity difference: 0.0005 mm) into a lightweight, high-rigidity ball cage.
The balls are arranged spirally along the circumference of the cage, preventing overlap of ball raceways and significantly reducing wear. The ball pockets are precision-finished and continuously caulked using a proprietary process, which prevents ball drop and allows smooth travel even when the ball cage length exceeds the housing length.
These die-setting ball cage models are widely used in precision press die sets, spinning and weaving machines, precision measuring instruments, automatic recorders, medical equipment, and various machine tools, where high durability, smooth motion, and reliable performance are required.
