NPM Bidirectional Synchronous Motors
Nippon Pulse Motor (NPM) Bidirectional Synchronous Motors are capacitor-type synchronous motors designed for stable and accurate rotation. The motor speed synchronises with the AC power frequency, providing consistent rotation with minimal effect from voltage and load changes.
The motors can rotate in both clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW) directions. Rotation direction can be switched by changing the capacitor connection using a switch or relay, allowing quick direction changes.
The range includes PTM and PTMC Series motors in different sizes, pole counts and voltage options. Available speeds range from 250 to 600 rpm, depending on the model and AC frequency. Geared versions are also available for lower output speeds and higher torque.
A capacitor is required for operation. NPM provides different capacitor specifications according to the motor model, rated voltage and frequency. The series is suitable for equipment requiring stable speed and reversible rotation.
