THK LG Series Guide Ball Bushing

The THK LG Series Guide Ball Bushing has four rows of circular arc grooves (raceways), so unlike a standard Linear Bushing it needs no rotation-stopper mechanism, since curved-surface ball contact achieves a load rating more than twice that of a point-contact Linear Bushing Model LM of the same size. Because the outer tube shares the same outer diameter and length as Model LM, it can directly replace an existing Linear Bushing installation. In real terms, replacing an LM8 with an LG8S raises the basic dynamic load rating from 265 to 796 N, extending service life by roughly 27 times. Basic dynamic load rating ranges from 335 to 796 kN and basic static load rating from 473 to 1,065 kN across 4, 6, and 8 mm shaft diameters. Ideal for compact machine designs needing a longer service life without a rotation stopper.
