THK SDAN-V and SDAN-VX Series High-Speed Compact Caged Ball Screw

The THK SDAN-V Series is engineered for high-speed, compact machine designs, using newly developed circulation components that pick up balls in the tangential direction. This lets it reach a maximum rotational speed of 5,000 min⁻¹, for a DN value of up to 160,000, while keeping torque stable even during long stretches of high-speed operation. Its preload method combines two ball screw nuts with a spacer to eliminate backlash, and the nut dimensions conform to ISO 3408 standards, giving it improved axial rigidity compared to the standard SDA-V.

Model SDAN-VX is the full-ball version of the SDAN-V, offering the same high-speed, high-rigidity performance. Both use THK’s Caged Technology, a synthetic resin cage that cradles each ball to reduce noise, dust, and wear while improving grease retention for long-term maintenance-free operation.
