THK NS Series Precision Ball Screw/Spline

The THK NS Series combines ball screw grooves and ball spline grooves crossing on a single shaft, with dedicated support bearings built directly into the circumference of each nut. This lets a single shaft perform rotational, linear, and spiral motion just by rotating or stopping the spline nut, which is why it’s often used on the Z axis of SCARA robots, assembly robots, automatic loaders, and machining center ATC equipment.

It’s a heavy load, rotary nut design with a large lead and its own preload, which gives it precise positioning for a ball screw. It carries a DN value of 70,000 and is available in screw shaft diameters from 16mm to 50mm.
