KSS AR Series Captive and Non-captive Actuator

The KSS AR Series Captive and Non-captive Actuator is a compact cylinder actuator featuring a 2-phase hollow stepping motor with a built-in ball screw and ball spline, known as BSSP. This integrated construction combines linear motion and anti-rotation guidance within a single compact body, eliminating the need for a separate external guide mechanism.

The ball spline nut within the BSSP functions as the anti-rotation mechanism, preventing the rod from spinning during extension and retraction while allowing for a slim and space-saving body design. Available in both captive and non-captive rod configurations, the AR Series gives system integrators flexibility to choose the rod retention style best suited to their specific mounting and application requirements.
