Miki Pulley Schmidt Link-Type Couplings

The Miki Pulley Schmidt coupling is a link-type coupling designed to transmit torque between shafts with offset (parallel-displaced) centers, replacing bulkier solutions like spline shafts and universal joints. Using the crank motion of a link mechanism, it allows the shaft axes to move in parallel even while rotating, and because power transfers through links rather than rigid contact, reaction forces are extremely low, permitting large eccentricity. Two model lines are available: the NSS Model, handling operating torque from 49 to 7,850 N·m with eccentricity up to 23 mm and speeds up to 3,000 rpm, and the DL Model, rated 93 to 2,310 N·m with eccentricity up to 4 mm and speeds up to 2,000 rpm. This compact, space-saving design suits industrial machinery and general-purpose motor drives where shaft misalignment or offset centers are unavoidable.
