Miki Pulley Contactless Link (Prospine) Magnetic Couplings
The Miki Pulley Contactless Link, previously branded Prospine, is a magnetic coupling that transmits torque without physical contact by using magnet attraction and repulsion. Because power transfers magnetically, it can drive a load across a sealed partition, making it ideal for cleanroom equipment, chemical and fluid transfer systems, and food, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor machinery. With no mechanical contact, there’s no wear, dust generation, noise, or vibration, and installation is simple thanks to a wide tolerance for shaft misalignment and angular offset. The lineup spans four structural types: AA (disc-to-disc, face-to-face shafts), EE (cylindrical parallel-shaft), BB/BC (disc x cylinder, orthogonal miter), and DD (cylinder x cylinder, orthogonal miter), covering transmitted torque from 0.02 to 15.48 N·m, outer diameters from 10 to 70 mm, and speeds up to 3,000 rpm. Maximum torque is adjustable, so the coupling can also double as an overload protection device.
