Miki Pulley Miki Pulley Starflex

Miki Pulley Starflex is a simple jaw coupling that sandwiches a polyurethane element between two hubs. This design delivers double the torque transmission compared to Miki Pulley’s previous jaw coupling, and since the element is pre compressed, it works without backlash too.

You can choose from elements with two different hardness levels, so you can match the coupling to your torque needs and how much misalignment you expect. The hub is made from aluminum alloy and can be attached to the shaft with either a key or a clamp. The lineup includes three types. The ALS-ARN type uses a harder element for high torque work with general purpose and servo motors. The ALS-AYN type uses a softer element, which helps keep shaft reaction force lower. The ALS-ABN type is built to absorb larger misalignments while still handling high torque. Starflex is commonly used in machine tools, hydraulic machinery, pumps, fans, transport equipment, and textile machinery.
