KSS CL Series Captive and Non-captive Actuator

The KSS CL Series Captive and Non-Captive Actuator is a compact cylinder actuator featuring a 2-phase hollow stepping motor with a built-in ball screw. This integrated construction combines the motor and linear drive mechanism within a single compact body, simplifying integration into space-constrained equipment designs.

Multiple configurations are available by selecting different drive screw types, including precision and rolled resin screws, along with various screw leads, giving system designers flexibility to balance positioning accuracy, speed, and cost for the specific application. For non-captive use, an external anti-rotation mechanism can be installed using the female thread at the shaft end, allowing the CL Series to be adapted for applications where the rod itself is not directly retained within the actuator body.
