Koganei ATBDA Alpha Series Twin Rod Cylinders
The Koganei ATBDA Alpha Series Twin Rod Cylinders are high-precision pneumatic actuators available in bore sizes from 10mm to 32mm. Two parallel piston rods work together to prevent rotation and act as their own guides, so you do not need a separate external guide in most applications.
Linear ball bearings from NSK are used for the rod bearing, with high carbon chrome bearing steel for the piston rods. This combination keeps rod end deflection very low even at full stroke and eliminates bearing wear over time, helping the cylinder hold its initial accuracy throughout its service life. Non-rotating accuracy is within plus or minus 0.1 degrees.
The series comes in three types. The ATBDA is the single rod type, with two linear ball bearings on one side. The ATBDAD is the double rod type, with four linear ball bearings across both sides for applications needing greater rigidity. The ATBDAD-P adds a sub-plate for additional mounting flexibility.
Operating pressure ranges from 0.15 to 0.7 MPa, with speeds up to 500mm/s. Standard strokes go up to 100mm for bore sizes 16 to 32mm and up to 70mm for 10mm bore, with maximum available strokes of up to 200mm. A built-in magnet is standard, with embedded sensor switch grooves on three surfaces of the body. Stroke adjustment of minus 5 to 0mm is available via stopper bolt without removing the cylinder. All models are RoHS compliant.
