THK VR Series Cross-Roller Guide
The THK VR Series Cross-Roller Guide arranges precision rollers orthogonally, one after another, in a roller cage paired with a dedicated V-groove rail. Mounting two VR units in parallel lets the guide system receive loads from all four directions, and because the guide can be preloaded, it achieves a clearance-free, highly rigid, smooth slide mechanism. A unique roller-retaining design gives 1.7 times the effective roller contact length of conventional cross-roller guides, doubling rigidity and extending service life sixfold, with surface-contact roller pockets that improve grease retention for smooth, low-wear motion. Stainless steel construction is available for high corrosion resistance. Used in OA equipment, measuring instruments, PCB drilling machines, optical stages, and X-ray machines.
