BSQ JRV Series Goniometer Cross Roller Guide
The BSQ JRV Series is a goniometer cross roller guide that gives you low friction radial movement without a re-circulating design. It works well for tasks like sweeping motion or precise angular positioning where the rotation center needs to stay fixed, which makes it a good fit for optical equipment and measuring devices.
The guide is built from precision ground, hardened, curved rails shaped like a V, paired with curved roller cages that hold the cross rollers in place. This setup keeps friction very low and helps the guide move smoothly and consistently along its curved path.
Since there’s very little difference between static and dynamic friction, the JRV Series can handle fine, precise feed movements without hesitation or jerkiness. The cross roller design also gives you more surface contact, and combined with the hardened rails, this cuts down on elastic deformation so the guide stays rigid and can handle higher loads.
Installation is straightforward too, since BSQ’s curved roller cage keeps the cross rollers in place during setup. Each set comes with four rails, two cages, and eight roller pieces. On top of that, the non re-circulating design means there’s no rolling contact between rollers, so the whole thing runs quietly.
