THK FT / FT-V Series Flat Roller
The THK FT Series Flat Roller has a single row of precision rollers (JIS B1506 compliant) held in a thin, “M”-shaped steel plate cage that’s press-formed for improved rigidity and light weight, with pockets designed to keep rollers from falling out. Because the roller is sandwiched between two raceways, it travels half the distance of the table it supports. Even roller retention in a light, rigid cage eliminates roller-to-roller friction and minimizes skewing, achieving a friction coefficient of just 0.001 to 0.0025 with no stick-slip. Basic dynamic load rating spans 5.2 to 301 kN and basic static load rating 10.4 to 1,270 kN. Ideal for large machine tools like planers, horizontal milling machines, and cylindrical grinders, as well as high-accuracy surface grinders and optical measuring machines.
