SMAC Linear Slide Actuators

SMAC linear slide actuators are built on the same moving coil technology as SMAC’s linear actuator range, sharing the same core performance characteristics while adding an integrated linear guide for applications requiring lateral load support and guided motion.

Available in a wide range of sizes and stroke lengths, from compact short-travel units to slides with longer travel distances, these actuators cover a broad spectrum of automation requirements. Key series include the LCS series based on the LCA platform with strokes from 10mm to 250mm and peak forces up to 90N, and the LAS series based on the LAL platform with strokes from 10mm to 150mm and peak forces up to 200N. Encoder resolution starts at 5 micrometres as standard, with options available down to 50 nanometres for precision scanning and measurement applications.

All SMAC linear slide actuators offer full programmability of speed, position, and force with real-time data feedback, along with the patented Soft-Land capability for gentle surface contact. A service life exceeding 100 million cycles makes them a practical long-term alternative to pneumatic slides in parts feeding, scanning, testing, and measuring applications across a wide range of industries.
