THK KSF Compact Series Electric Actuator
The THK Compact Series KSF is an electric actuator built to handle long strokes and fast cycle times while still keeping a slim, compact housing. By increasing the ball screw shaft diameter, it reaches a maximum stroke of up to 1500mm without adding much to the overall size, which makes it useful across a wide range of applications.
The larger ball screw shaft and angular ball bearing also let it handle higher speeds and quicker acceleration and deceleration, cutting cycle time by as much as 0.54 seconds on a 500mm stroke. Over 100 cycles, that adds up to a meaningful productivity boost. On top of that, improvements to the LM Guide and ball screw give the KSF a service life of up to 20,000km, compared to the 5,000km you’d typically get from a regular aluminum base actuator.
The housing itself stays thin and lightweight, giving you more freedom when planning the layout inside your equipment. A circular arc groove in the linear guide section keeps movement smooth with no clearance, so precision holds up well over time, and the U shaped outer rail adds strong resistance against moment loads, torsion, and bending, even when there’s a large overhang on the shaft.
