NPM PULSERVO® II Closed-Loop Stepping Motors

NPM PULSERVO® II Closed-Loop Stepping Motors combine the high torque characteristics of stepping motors with encoder feedback for reliable closed-loop positioning. The system helps prevent loss of synchronisation associated with open-loop stepping motors. It uses an EtherCAT interface and supports CiA402 motion control modes, including CSP (Cyclic Synchronous Position), PP (Profile Position) and HM (Homing). It also supports time synchronisation with cycle times from 250 μs.

Five motor frame sizes are available: 20, 28, 42, 56 and 60 mm. Encoder resolution ranges from 4,000 P/R to 20,000 P/R, depending on the motor size. The system also provides speed monitoring, optimal current control, low vibration and smooth rotation through vector and filtering control.

PULSERVO® II supports high-speed positioning over short strokes and push operations, including push-stop and push non-stop functions. Motors with optional brakes and planetary gearheads are also available. The motor and dedicated driver are supplied as a matched set.
