THK EPB-V Series Precision Ball Screw (ISO 3408, Offset Preload)

The THK EPB-V Series is an ISO 3408 compliant ball screw using an offset preloaded nut. Balls roll in the raceway between the screw shaft and nut, travel through the deflector groove to the adjacent raceway, and circulate back to the loaded area for continuous rolling motion. The internal deflector-based circulation system allows the nut to remain compact, with an outer diameter of approximately 70 to 80% of a conventional double nut and an overall nut length of approximately 60 to 80% of a return-pipe nut. This makes the EPB-V suitable for applications requiring offset preload accuracy in a space-saving design.

The series is available with screw shaft diameters from 16 to 63 mm, with a DN value of 130,000 and permissible rotational speeds of up to 5,000 min⁻¹ for selected models.
