The Sanyo Denki SANMOTION F5 5-Phase Stepping System is a precision motion solution combining 5-phase stepping motors and dedicated drivers for accurate positioning and stable motion. The system typically operates with a 0.72° full step angle and uses pulse-based control for applications requiring controlled positioning, fixed-speed operation, and stable stopping. The SANMOTION F5 lineup includes AC-input drivers and motors, DC-input high-power models, and DC-input basic models. Depending on the configuration, the system supports 100–120 VAC, 200–240 VAC, or 24 VDC input, with micro-stepping of up to 250 steps in 5-phase mode.
The system offers a range of motor options including standard motors, low-backlash gear motors, harmonic gear motors, electromagnetic brake motors, and encoder-mounted motors. SANMOTION F5 also includes linear actuator stepping motors with integrated ball screws and stepping motors customised for low to ultra-high vacuum environments.
