Sanyo Denki SANMOTION C S500
The Sanyo Denki SANMOTION C S500 is a motion controller built to handle 7-axis articulated robots, and it can control up to 15 different robot configurations. Functions like trajectory control and interpolated operation are easy to set up, which helps you plan robot motion in-house instead of relying on outside support.
It connects to open networks such as EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA, making it a good fit for factories moving toward IoT and real time data sharing between devices. It also brings robot control and machine control together into one development environment, so you can simulate the whole system in a single setup, which cuts down on both development and maintenance time.
On the hardware side, the S500 is about 60% smaller than earlier SANMOTION C models, so it fits into tighter spaces. It can control up to 64 motor axes with a cycle time of just 1 ms, and it’s capable of running multiple robots at once, even different types like assembly and sorting robots, all from a single unit.
