Yamaha Phaser MF Series Flat Core Linear Motor

The Yamaha PHASER MF Series is a high-performance flat-core linear motor single-axis robot designed for long travel, high speed, and high payload applications. Its steel-cored linear motor with flat magnet structure delivers smooth direct-drive motion, repeatability of plus or minus 5 micrometres, and speeds of up to 2500mm per second.

Direct-drive operation eliminates mechanical transmission components such as ball screws and belts, reducing wear and enabling sustained high-speed operation over long travel distances. Available in MF7, MF7D, MF15, and MF15D configurations, the series supports both single and double carriage designs, with the double carriage variants offering enhanced rigidity and load capacity for applications requiring higher payload support or independent dual-axis transfer on a shared rail.

This makes the PHASER MF Series well suited for high-throughput transfer systems, large-format handling, and applications where speed and travel distance are critical alongside high positioning accuracy.
