SMAC MGR/GRP Series Electric Grippers

SMAC MGR and GRP Series electric grippers give you full control over gripping speed, position, and force, with real-time data feedback throughout. Each jaw is controlled independently, so the gripper can handle asymmetric or offset parts and apply different force levels to each side.

The MGR Series is a micro gripper built for small and fragile part handling. It can operate with forces as low as 2.5 grams using SMAC’s patented Soft-Land feature, making it suitable for semiconductor components, small lenses, medical parts, and electronics assembly. The GRP Series handles a wider range of work, with peak forces up to 45N, strokes up to 30mm, and built-in encoder resolution down to 0.1 micrometres for precise measurement and inline quality control. Both series can perform a task and verify its quality at the same time, making them well suited for 100 percent inline inspection.
