The KSS MSU-xCS Supported-Side Pillow Type Support Unit features a lightweight and compact profile compared to conventional support units, achieved by eliminating unnecessary housing structure. This streamlined design reduces overall unit weight and footprint while still providing reliable shaft support at the supported end of the ball screw.

A deep groove bearing and stop ring are attached as standard, providing radial support and axial retention without the higher rigidity preload found in fixed-side units. This makes the MSU-xCS well suited for the floating support end of a ball screw assembly, where the bearing needs to accommodate slight axial movement caused by thermal expansion while still keeping the shaft properly supported and aligned.
