KSS VV-Z-theta Belt Drive Actuator

The KSS VV-Z-theta Actuator Belt Drive Type features a compact, lightweight design and supports linear Z-axis motion, theta rotation, and vacuum functions in a single unit. Combining these three functions into one compact axis reduces overall footprint compared to assembling separate Z, theta, and vacuum components individually.

It uses a 4mm BSSP miniature ball screw with ball spline, achieving one of the smallest and lightest VV-Z-theta actuator designs available. The belt drive mechanism offers a flexible alternative to the direct drive variant, making this configuration well suited for compact pick and place and semiconductor handling applications where combined vertical, rotational, and vacuum pick-up motion is required within a minimal footprint.
