SMAC Linear Rotary Actuators

SMAC Linear Rotary Actuators combine linear and rotary motion in one compact actuator. They provide independent control of force, torque, position, acceleration and velocity. The range includes LBR, LCR, LDR and LAR Series models. Depending on the series, stroke lengths range from 15 mm to 300 mm. Peak force reaches up to 202 N, while peak torque varies by model and configuration.

SMAC Linear Rotary Actuators use direct-drive brushless servo motors and provide precise closed-loop motion. The LAR Series combines precision Z-theta motion with Soft-Land™ and force/torque control for pick, orient and place operations.

Options include different linear encoder resolutions, shaft ends, return springs, vacuum connections and geared rotary configurations. These options allow the actuators to be configured for different motion and handling requirements.
