SMAC Linear Rotary Actuators

SMAC linear rotary actuators combine Z-axis linear motion and theta rotation in a single compact unit. This makes them a practical solution for pick, orient, and place applications where separate linear and rotary components would take up too much space.

Key series include the LCR for direct drive Z-theta motion, the LAR with strokes from 10mm to 150mm and encoder resolution down to 0.1 micrometres, and the LBR which is slim and stackable, built for capping, thread inspection, and smart screw driving. Force, torque, position, and velocity across all axes are fully programmable with real-time feedback. Vacuum through the shaft is available on selected models. SMAC’s Soft-Land feature protects delicate parts during contact. All models are rated for over 100 million cycles.
