THK DCMB Series Change Nut

The THK DCMB Series is a change nut that easily converts linear motion into rotary motion, and can do the reverse just as smoothly, with 70% efficiency. It features a 45° lead angle, which is difficult to achieve through machining, and because of the large lead, it’s well suited for building fast feed mechanisms driven by low speed rotation.

The multi-thread screw shafts used with this change nut are formed through cold gear rolling, with the tooth surface hardened to over 250 HV and mirror finished. This gives the shaft strong wear resistance and helps the whole assembly run smoothly with minimal friction. A miniature version is also available, made from oil impregnated plastic, which holds up well in oil-less operation and needs little maintenance over time.

The dynamic permissible thrust (F) for this series ranges from 863 N to 57100 N, giving it flexibility across a wide range of load requirements.
