KSS SD4030B3 Stepping Motor Driver

The KSS SD4030B3 is a 2-phase micro-step stepping motor driver designed for higher current applications requiring stable and efficient motor control. It uses a bipolar constant current chopper drive method, which helps maintain consistent torque output across varying motor speeds compared to simpler drive circuits.

With a driving current range of 0.5 to 3.0A peak per phase at plus or minus 5% tolerance, the SD4030B3 covers a higher current range than the SD4015B3, making it well suited for larger stepping motors requiring greater torque output. Operating from a DC 18 to 36V power supply, it supports micro-step interpolation settings from 1/2 to 1/64 across 8 selectable channels, with automatic current down to reduce motor heating during standstill, providing stable and efficient control for higher-power 2-phase stepping motor applications.
