KSS SD4015B3 Stepping Motor Driver
The KSS SD4015B3 is a 2-phase micro-step stepping motor driver designed for stable and efficient motor control in general positioning applications. It uses a bipolar constant current chopper drive method, which helps maintain consistent torque output across varying motor speeds compared to simpler drive circuits.
The driver supports micro-step interpolation settings from 1/2 to 1/64 across 8 selectable channels, allowing finer resolution control and smoother motion than basic full-step or half-step operation. Operating from a DC 18 to 36V power supply with a driving current range of 0.25 to 1.5A peak per phase at plus or minus 5% tolerance, the SD4015B3 also includes automatic current down to reduce motor heating during standstill, making it a practical and efficient choice for general 2-phase stepping motor positioning applications.
